A Conversation around Black Lives Matter and Healing

7 Jun 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

A discussion on healing our communities and Black Lives Matter through a look into the past, present, and future. This event was presented with Our Stories Mater podcast and featured discussion panelists Alexus “Lex” Rhone, Ramona Merchan , and Torrence “Torre” Brannon-Reese , as well as podcast co-hosts, Susan “Susie” Hess, and Samuel “Sam” Lazalde.

We are in a watershed moment. The incessant injustice of systemic racism and inequity affecting the Black community demands a concerted response.⁣
As Alice Walker stated, “We are the ones we have been waiting for.” ⁣

The time is now to come together to take action and create change. ⁣⁣⁣We are in a state of collective pain and grief and now more than ever we need to unite against these systems of injustice. Our voices and stories matter!⁣
How we can create change in this unprecedented time? ⁣⁣⁣⁣
Join us for a conversation on the Black Lives Matter movement and collective healing.⁣

We all have a role to play.⁣

Black lives MUST matter!⁣⁣⁣⁣
