MALACHI ANANDA GILLIHAN is a trauma specialist, spiritual counselor, yogi, and survivor-practitioner from Oakland, CA. He focuses on healing sexual trauma, and is a male survivor of CSA himself. He has a private practice working with survivors, as well as workshops and trainings he conducts on mind-body approaches for sexual trauma healing. He earned his masters in East-West Psychology along with his certification as a Spiritual Counselor from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA, and is currently completing his PhD, focused on group-based interventions for male survivors of sexual trauma. In addition to his education, Malachi has trained under teachers including Dan Siegel, Judith Lasater, and Sean Feit-Oakes in areas including yoga instruction and yoga for trauma, interpersonal neurobiology, the Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Buddhist approaches to counseling, breathwork, and insight meditation.
