Dr. Or Duek is an assistant professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Community Health Sciences at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His post-doctoral training at Yale School of Medicine focused on novel treatments and mechanisms of change in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). His research focuses on the effects of exposure to stress on humans, using neuroimaging data, big electronic medical records, and clinical interventions to uncover the mechanism risk, and protective factors of developing PTSD and other stress-related psychiatric disorders.
