Adela Cojab Moadeb

ADELA COJAB MOADEB, is a legal advocate, media contributor, and unapologetic voice for Jewish civil rights.

She gained national attention for filing a Title VI complaint against NYU in after the university failed to protect its Jewish students—an effort that helped pave the way for the 2019 Executive Order on Combating Antisemitism.

Adela now serves as a Legal Fellow at the National Jewish Advocacy Center (NJAC), where she drives strategic litigation and policy work, and as Director of Strategic Engagement at the Birthright Israel Foundation. She recently testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on the rise of antisemitism, bringing campus realities into the national spotlight.

Her commentary has appeared on major outlets across the U.S., Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She previously hosted the interfaith podcast Americanish: Daughters of Diaspora and now anchors Today Unpacked, a daily YouTube show with OpenDor Media.

Born in Mexico City and raised in Deal, New Jersey, Adela holds a J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from NYU’a Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she built an individualized major in Middle Eastern Diaspora Structures.
