MATTHEW NOURIEL (they/them) is a non-binary digital activist and content creator who passionately advocates at the intersection of their queer, Iranian, and Jewish identities. As the Community Engagement Director at JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa), Matthew works to combat antisemitism, champion LGBTQ+ equality, and dismantle false historical narratives. Whether speaking out on human rights or performing as their drag persona, “The Empress Mizrahi,” they empower others to live authentically and reject the pressure to hide who they are.
