Chelsea(they/them) is in their final year of the MSW program at California State University-Long Beach. Chelsea played a valuable role in opening the first LGBTQIA+ housing program for Transitional Age Youth in Orange County and has trained over 1000 community members in administering Narcan. Chelsea utilizes person-centered approaches and a harm reduction framework to develop programmatic policies that empower and elevate the voices of those they serve. Chelsea believes people both delivering and receiving services mutually develop each other’s strengths and is ecstatic to support TILA in continuing to elevate trauma-informed practices that promote healing in communities. When Chelsea is not in school or working, they enjoy watching birds, playing scrabble, and writing.
