Janel Morgan is a strategic and mission-driven Human Resources (HR) Business Partner at Atlassian, where she supports multiple client groups in scaling talent strategies and leadership development across a global technology workforce. Known for her ability to connect systems, people, and strategy, Janel brings deep expertise in organizational design, executive coaching, and change management to her work, all grounded in a people-first approach.

Previously, Janel served as Director of People Strategy & Capabilities at King’s Hawaiian, acting as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and leading cross-functional initiatives that shaped company culture, advanced leadership capability, and delivered measurable impact. Her career also includes HR leadership roles at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she built a certified coaching program and scaled engagement tools, as well as people-focused roles with Green Dot Public Schools, Lucky Brand, and the City of Burbank.

Janel holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, specializing in organizational and macro-level practice. She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, and a certified coach through the Goldvarg Consulting Group. She is passionate about redefining the role of non-traditional social workers in business and creating psychologically safe, inclusive environments where people and organizations thrive.
