MARTIN PETTIS is a long-time mental health professional and community activist with over 20 years of experience working with under-resourced and underserved communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Over the years he has developed, managed and supervised several city-wide programs designed to provide, Whole-Person and Trauma-Informed, low to no-cost counseling and mental health services for communities in need.
Currently he is the Director of Community and Relational Engagement for the Harmony Project and Believe in Music, two large music education and youth development non-profits, where he manages all of the community outreach and student support services. He also serves through-out Los Angeles as a non-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Group Facilitator trained and supervised out of the Southern California Counseling Center.
He is a member of the Guild of Future Architects, an international nonprofit that brings together innovative creators and care-givers from around the world to more effectively pursue shared visions of the future. He is a life long urban yogi and meditation practitioner and was a founding member of EVO Health and Wellness, an integrative outpatient treatment center for substance related issues, where he served as the Associate Clinical Director and the Lead Therapist with-in the Integrative Therapy team.
Martin is committed to providing access, awareness and education around all areas of Trauma-Informed care and believes these services are a right, not a privilege, for all people.
