Leadership Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for our 2021 Steering Committee (SC). Open positions include:

Grant Coordinator (1 open position)

  • Researches for effective and authentic funding opportunities that meet the needs and function of TILA
  • Prepares budget plans and allocation in collaboration with Development Coordinator 
  • Gathers and presents accurate information to potential funders, including fiscal sponsors
  • Monitors paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs or grant application process
  • Solicits and manage funding/in-kind donations for TILA events and initiatives
  • Manages TILA petty cash

Marketing Coordinator (1 open position)

  • Works with Communications Coordinator in planning events and marketing them to organizations
  • Networks with organizations who share aligned values to promote TILA’s work
  • Collaborates with Communications Coordinator to manage TILA’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and LinkedIn
  • Creates sharable content to disseminate to organizations
  • Explores new ways to engage and identify partners

Operations Coordinator (1 open position)

  • Manages SC documents, workflow, and assignments via an online platform
  • Coordinates and oversees organizational and administrative tasks
  • Directs logistics of SC meetings and take minutes
  • Tracks SC meetings in alignment with MOU commitment

Podcast Coordinator/Editor (1 open position)

  • Collaborates with Podcast Team to ensure timely creation of episodes, editing, transcription, and distribution
  • Coordinates and oversees organizational and administrative tasks with each storyteller
  • Has knowledge of or is eager to learn how to edit audio, add clips, splice clips, and process with enhancements
  • Has familiarity with Anchor, Apple Podcasts, and/or Spotify or is eager to learn these platforms

Policy Coordinator (1 open position)

  • Provides research and analysis of a range of policy issues impacting primarily LA County and California at large
  • Tracks, monitors, and analyzes county, state, and federal legislation
  • Organizes accessible outreach events to engage the local community in policy discussion and education
  • Represents TILA at external meetings and events, as necessary to advance policy priorities
